Edgecast video: Geoffrey Young and the art of the gallery

“I had no job and no prospects, so I opened an art gallery.” --- Geoffrey Young

Great Barrington – Twenty-four years ago, Geoff Young opened his first art gallery. The artist Morgan Bulkeley had told Young that he had a 24 by 48 foot storage area. “Why don’t you open an gallery,” Bulkeley had suggested.

He did. Since then, Young has exhibited some of the most cutting edge artists of our time.

This Saturday (June 14), Young hosts the opening of “Casheesh,” an exhibit of 37 artists that includes, among others, the work of his friend Morgan Bulkeley, at his gallery, 40 Railroad St., in Great Barrington.
