Bring our doctors back

In her letter to the editor, Tamera Gebo-Wilber writes: “Talented and highly respected nurses, nurse practitioners, and a grant writer, have left [CHP].”

To the Editor:

Community Health Programs (CHP) is not bringing back our doctors, or they are leaving because our Board of Directors is slowly, methodically, and painfully not supporting them.

Dr. McNally, just returning from sabbatical in Laos where she helped launch a new children’s hospital, has not returned to work at CHP.

Dr. John Horan, who bravely and very professionally spoke out on all of our behalf, is officially stepping down at the end of this month.

Talented and highly respected nurses, nurse practitioners, and a grant writer, have left.

My wonderfully talented CHP team (doctors McNally, Setti, Makalatia, Horan, Irwin, nurses and nurse practitioners) is splintered. I cannot do my job without them and the community will suffer without them.

Please bring our doctors back.
