In a letter to the editor, Anita Schwerner writes, "Don Chabon is the only Stockbridge Board of Selectman candidate with experience and expertise in town government, having served as selectman for three years and as chairman for two."
In little villages like Stockbridge as well as on the national stage, there should always be two candidates for each position. There is a paucity of candidates. It is a kind of political anemia. It is not good for us; the voters deserve a choice. It is not good for democracy.
In their letter Eugene and Shirley Talbot write: "Don has provided invaluable service to our Stockbridge community including his work on the town's Planning Board."
