Re-elect Steve Bannon to Great Barrington Selectboard

He has no agenda save for what is best for the town.

To the editor:

On May 14, Great Barrington voters would be foolish if they did not return Steve Bannon to the selectboard. I have known Steve since his days at Monument Mountain Regional High School. He was then and is now extremely hard working, knowledgeable, balanced and, most importantly, very fair. (One has only to attend or watch tape of meetings.) He has no agenda save for what is best for the town. He listens before making a decision. Steve is a known variable in the complex process of governing a town. I strongly urge all to support him on May 14th.

Donald Trump’s failed presidency

Trump was elected because people relied on the promises he made, but curbing inflation; lowering the high costs of food, gas, and electricity; improving access to healthcare; and restoring affordability have basically been ignored.

Why should second-home owners in Great Barrington subsidize well-off full-time residents?

Even if they won't be receiving a reduction, primary residents of means would still benefit from a system that levies higher taxes on second-home owners but not on them.
