Raymond Bazonski, 83, of Great Barrington

Raymond worked as a paper maker for Kimberly Clark for 39 years, retiring in 1987.

Raymond Carl Bazonski, 83, of Great Barrington died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Raymond was born July 4, 1935, in Great Barrington, the son of Vincent and Helen (Zulaski) Bazonski. He was educated in local schools and proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Korea. Raymond worked as a paper maker for Kimberly Clark for 39 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the James A. Modolo VFW Post #8348.

Raymond is survived by three sons: John Bazonski of Great Barrington, Joseph Bazonski of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Raymond Bazonski Jr. of Georgia; two daughters: Cathy Genova of Cummings, Georgia, and Dawn Masciolo of Long Island New York; brother Leon Bazonski of New York; sister Mary Lindenschmid of Lanesborough; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by longtime companion Barbara Southworth; brothers Joseph Bazonski, Vincent Bazonski and John Bazonski; and sister Martha Bazonski.

A private burial with military honors will be held in Saint Peter’s Cemetery at a later time. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
