Dorothy J. Fuller, 93, of Great Barrington

A graveside service will be scheduled in the spring.

Dorothy J. Fuller passed peacefully on February 13, 2026, at Fairview Commons. She was born in Ridgefield, Conn., to Lester and Mary (Burns) Hunt.

One of seven children, Dorothy was educated in Ridgefield. She loved acting in school plays.

Dorothy married John E. Joyner II in 1955, raising five children. When her children were all of school age, she went to work for Zaire’s, as well as Ames and Marshalls, retiring in her late 70s.

Upon retirement, Dorothy and her second husband, Charles Fuller, would spend their winters in Florida on her sister Molly’s farm. Dorothy loved watching her sheltie Benny trying to herd the cows.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Doris Hare (Donald); her first husband, John E. Joyner II; and her children, Linda A. Olszewski (Dennis), Robin C. Townson, John E. Joyner III, Duane T. Joyner (Cathy), and Karen E. Joyner. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Thomas Joyner (Lillian) and Victor Stringer (Diana), as well as Susan Sikora and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her grandson William E. Joyner; her brothers, Lester, William, and Gordon; two sisters, Molly and Janice; her second husband, Charles Fuller; her father-in-law John E. Joyner; and her mother-in-law Lillian Stringer (Victor).

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Fairview Commons, as well as the staff at HospiceCare in the Berkshires, for making their mother feel safe and respected on her journey home.

The funeral of Mrs. Marjorie A. Prince will be Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, with the Rev. Monsignor John J. Bonzagni, Pastor, celebrating the Liturgy. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Martha’s legacy is one of connection, warmth, and shared laughter. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Bonniventura M. Smith, 80, formerly of Great Barrington

A small, intimate gathering for close family and friends will be held at Birches-Roy Funeral Home on Monday March 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A private burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
