Runners come out for annual Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July Road Race

Nearly 900 runners took part in the annual Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July Road Race on Tuesday, July 4.

Pittsfield — It was a great day for a race as 897 runners took part in the annual Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July Road Race on Tuesday, July 4. The race took place right before the city’s Independence Day Parade and was along the same route, going through the heart of the downtown area.

The winner of the race was Pittsfield resident Nick Turner, who won the race with a time of 15:23.

Pittsfield resident Jacob Ellis came in second with a time of 16:14.

Lenox resident Dennis Love came in third place with a time of 16:15, while Pittsfield runner Jake Paris came in fourth place with a time of 16:17, and Alex White of Dalton came in fifth place with a time of 16:19.

Fastest female runner Morgan Windram-Geddes of Glendale, who came in 28th place overall, running alongside Lucas Faggioni of Great Barrington, who came in 39th place overall. Photo by Shaw Israel Izikson.

Glendale resident Morgan Windram-Geddes was the fastest female finisher with a time of 18:51.
