Harrington has the right qualities to be District Attorney

In her letter Beth Carlson of Stockbridge writes: “As District Attorney Andrea Harrington will be a strong advocate for justice and an asset to the county."

To the Editor:

I am really excited to have the opportunity to vote for Andrea Harrington for District Attorney. I have been impressed with Andrea’s integrity, passion, wisdom, and common sense. I believe her understanding of all walks of life in Berkshire County, and her commitment to returning justice to our courts are strong advantages. She is intimate with the challenges facing the county and its disparate populations and has strong relationships in diverse communities. In addition, she has the empathy and judgment necessary for the job.

There is a sense across the country of a need for change in our political system, a mistrust of government and elected officials, of broken and unjust systems that perpetuate the problems they are supposed to solve. Andrea is a forward thinking person with an understanding of when systems are dysfunctional and as District Attorney she will be a strong advocate for justice and an asset to the county.

Andrea has garnered a pretty impressive set of endorsements, and I am delighted to be in the company of State Auditor Suzanne Bump, State Senator Adam Hinds, State Rep. Smitty Pignatelli, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, and U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren in supporting her. I stand with them, and with Andrea.
