Free seminar on creating a life story to pass on to loved ones

The seminar is participatory, and attendees are asked to bring a cherished photo that represents a special story in their lives

Great Barrington — Ever wondered how to best tell your personal story so you can leave behind a meaningful summation of your life for your children, grandchildren and future generations?

The local founders of Imprint Films will be holding a free one-hour seminar on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 11:45 a.m. at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire (270 State Road in Great Barrington) to help participants learn what makes a good story and how you can string stories together for a life story that will be remembered by your loved ones.

The seminar is participatory, and attendees are asked to bring a cherished photo that represents a special story in their lives, be it humorous, poignant, or simply important.

Imprint Films was conceived and launched to create professionally produced, high quality, biographical films of our precious loved ones that capture those stories before they are gone. These films include intimate interviews, pictures, home videos, stock footage and a full musical score. A piece to enjoy now and to pass down through the generations.

The three founding partners of Imprint Films — Mark Farrell, Michael Johnson, and Nick Keene — all have extensive backgrounds in documentary filmmaking. Farrell has directed a dozen A&E biographies, including one about Bruce Springsteen, and has interviewed notable figures, including Presidents George HW Bush and Bill Clinton.
