Sheffield to close Route 41, Berkshire School Road for repairs
Sheffield — The town of Sheffield reports that Berkshire School Road will be closed during the daytime hours from Monday, May 18, until Friday, May 22. The road will reopen for Memorial Day weekend and then close completely on Tuesday, May 26, for approximately 96 days. The detour route for this closure will be Bears Den Road to Bow Wow Road to Miller Avenue to Route 7.
Route 41/North Undermountain Road/South Undermountain Road will be closed to through traffic Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, during the daytime hours. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be deploying detour signs and have message boards installed to warn truck traffic. MassDOT has also scheduled detail officers to be in place to assist with traffic control and detour instructions. The detour route for this closure will be Curtiss Road to Bow Wow Road to Giberson Road to Berkshire School Road.
