Morton E. Trudeau, 70, of Sheffield

Morton worked for many years as plant foreman for Country Log Homes, Phizers, and Gingras Lumber and was also a farmer. He enjoyed golfing and Nascar and had been to Daytona six times.

Morton E. Trudeau, 70, of Sheffield, passed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his home. He was born in Middlebury, Vt., on September 5, 1954, son of Charles and Esther (Hill) Trudeau. He moved to Great Barrington as a child, was educated in local schools, and was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in the class of 1972.

Morton worked for many years as plant foreman for Country Log Homes, Phizers, and Gingras Lumber and was also a farmer. He enjoyed golfing and Nascar and had been to Daytona six times.

Morton was survived by his wife Sandra Trudeau (now passed), whom he married on December 19, 1972, at the Baptist Church in Great Barrington. He also leaves his two daughters, Donna Crine and Bethany Trudeau; his two brothers, Herman Trudeau and Richard Trudeau; his six sisters, Tolitha Butler, Dorothy Denis, Pamela Williams, Tina Daloni, Louise Bowdish, and Ella Lussier; and his five grandchildren, Amber Trudeau, Evan Fredsall, Christian Behne IV, Kezea Behne, and Levi Trudeau; and his great-grandson Colton Humes. Morton was predeceased by his father Charles, mother Esther, brother Kenneth, and sister Betsy.
