Louis P. “Louie the Light” Muller, 74 ,of Housatonic  

Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing, and was an avid stock car fan.

Louis P. “Louie the Light” Muller, 74 of Housatonic died Saturday March 14 2015, at home.

He was born in Great Barrington on February 28, 1941, son of Louis D. and Adele “Della”(Cetti) Muller Brooks. Louis was educated in local schools.

Louis worked as a backhoe operator for many years for Ernie Scarpa in Lee , Mass., and Maximillian in Pittsfield before retiring in 2002. Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing, and was an avid stock car fan.

Louis is survived by his wife Eileen (Plona) Muller, two sons, Louis C. Muller of Lee and Edward C. Muller of Pittsfield; two brothers, Arthur Muller of Florida and Robert Muller of Connecticut; one grandson, Ryan Muller of Pittsfield, and a special cousin, Bernadette Daniels. Louis was predeceased by sister, Cheryl Muller, and daughter-in-law, Diane Lockenwitz.

In keeping with Louis’ wishes there will be no calling hours and funeral will be private. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Louis’ memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshire in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. Candace Gerard, 80, formerly of Great Barrington

Funeral services for Candace Gerard will be held on Friday March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Thomas B. Finn Jr., 75, of Pembroke, Mass.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 28 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.

Laurie Platt Winfrey Shnayerson, 83, of Hillsdale, N.Y.

The family plans a private memorial and asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Roeliff Jansen Community Library.
