Julia E. Ramirez, 86, passed away April 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 11, 1931, in Ambato, Ecuador, she was the daughter of Juan and Rosa Arias. She was educated in the Ambato school systems and graduated from high school there. In 1951, she married her late husband, Jorge Ramirez, in Ambato and, together with their children, they moved to America in the early 1970s. She retired from Becton & Dickinson after many years of service.
Her family was her life and she is proudly survived by her three sons: George Ramirez with whom she lived, Alonzo and wife Nancy, and Marcelo and wife Susan. She also leaves her five granddaughters: Sabrina Martell and husband Justin, Jillian, Carly, Jennifer and Stephanie Ramirez; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service for Julia Ramirez Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, with calling hours one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, which is caring for the arrangements.
