Frederick Murnane Sr., 58, of Sheffield

Frederick owned and operated a property maintenance company in the area for 28 years.

Frederick J. Murnane Sr., 58, of Sheffield died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Frederick was born July 16, 1960, in Poughkeepsie, New York, the son of Frederick T. and Ella (Baisley) Murnane. He was a graduate of the Webutuck High School class of 1978. Frederick owned and operated a property maintenance company in the area for 28 years.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Cathy (Howard) Murnane of Sheffield; son Frederick Murnane Jr. of Sheffield; daughter Samantha Murnane of Sheffield; two brothers: Michael and Keiven; and four sisters: Bernadette, Monica, Sheila and Gloria.

Funeral services for Frederick K. Murnane Sr. will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. Burial will follow in Sheffield Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 2, from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Frederick’s memory may be made to Birches-Roy Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
