Daniel Matthew Hadsell Sr., 39, of Cheshire

Daniel was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School class of 1996. He worked as a carpenter for numerous area contractors.

Daniel Matthew Hadsell Sr., 39 of Cheshire died Wednesday September 12, 2018 at home. Daniel was born on November 29, 1978 in Pittsfield son of Peter Hadsell and Margaret (Rupinski) Dodge. Daniel was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School class of 1996. He worked as a carpenter for numerous area contractors.

Daniel enjoyed outdoor adventures with his son, four-wheeling, spending time with friends and family and was an enthusiastic Red Sox and Patriots fan. He could fix anything with a motor.

Daniel is survived by his father, Peter Bruce Hadsell and stepmother Tracy Clark of Housatonic; mother, Margaret M. Dodge of Cheshire; three children, Emily and Daniel Hadsell Jr. of Alford and Dillyn Hadsell of Ashley Falls; brother, Kristopher M. Clark of Pittsfield; sisters, Jennifer M Hadsell of Dalton, Kelly E. Hadsell of Alford and Lorie M Iacovelli (Hadsell) and Robert Iacovelli of Chester; Godmother, Helen “Cindy” Bodnar of Pittsfield; favorite uncle Kenneth “Weaver” Hadsell of Ashley Falls and many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Daniel was predeceased by stepfather, Percy G. Dodge; his paternal grandparents, Gloria M. and Nathan “Bucky” Kenyon of Housatonic, Kenneth W. and Patria Hadsell Sr. of Pittsfield and maternal grandparents, Romeo and Doris Rupinski of Pittsfield.

Funeral Services for Daniel Matthew Hadsell Sr. will be held on Tuesday September 18 at 10 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with the Rev. William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Pelton Brook Cemetery in Housatonic. Family will receive friends on Monday September 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Daniel’s memory may be made to the Hadsell Children Educational Fund at Greylock Federal Credit Union in care of the funeral home. Stephen Joseph Tynan, 67, of Great Barrington

A graveside service for Stephen Joseph Tynan will be held on Thursday, March 19, at 10 a.m. in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, with Reverend William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Family will receive friends at a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Candace Gerard will be held on Friday March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Thomas B. Finn Jr., 75, of Pembroke, Mass.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 28 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
