Race Brook Lodge presents a New Year’s Eve dinner and soirée
Sheffield— On Sunday, December 31st, with seatings beginning at 5 p.m., ring in the New Year in the most authentically rustic and sublime style at the Race Brook Lodge’s New Year’s Eve dinner and soirée.
Chef Andrew Jalbert will be providing an expertly crafted and delicious prix-fixe menu featuring four courses and corresponding beverage pairings. Highlights of the menu include a bluefin tuna tartare appetizer, a lobster bisque, a seafood paella, and a matcha and sesame cheesecake.

After dinner, there is a “Barnspace Soirée” for dinner guests to hang out and ring in the new year together in an atmosphere of community. The barn will be set up as a big lounge with music, games, dancing, and a bar with a complimentary toast at midnight.

New Year’s Eve Parties in Pittsfield
Pittsfield— On Sunday, December 31st, there are several New Year’s Parties in the city of Pittsfield.

Join DJ BFG for a New Year’s Eve party at The Proprietor’s Lodge on Waubeek Road. A $75 ticket includes 6 p.m. admission, a pre-fixe dinner at 7 p.m., dancing, late night snacks, and a midnight toast. A $25 ticket includes 8 p.m. admission, dancing, late night snacks, and a midnight toast. More information can be found online.

There is a 21+ New Year’s Eve celebration at Drifters at Bousquet Mountain on Dan Fox Drive. A $25 (pre-sale), $30 (day-of pass holders), and $25 day-of (non-pass holders) ticket includes 20% off a lift-ticket (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.), a 9 p.m. party admission, free non-alcoholic beer for designated drivers, dancing, and a champagne toast at midnight. DJ Pup Daddy will be counting down his top 20 dance tracks of 2023 as well as spinning party favorites from the past throughout the night at Methuselah on North Street. New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday this year when Methuselah is normally closed, but Yuki and her staff are opening up the bar (no kitchen) on New Year’s Eve to throw a party and you’re all invited! On Sunday, January 7th at 10:30 a.m., celebrate Epiphany Sunday service with an exploration of how the Holy Spirit appears and what ancient Magicians may have to do with that.

Berkshire Museum offers free admission on Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Pittsfield— On Monday, January 15th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Berkshire Museum is offering free general admission in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, thanks to sponsorship from Greylock Federal Credit Union.

Reflect on the profound legacy of Dr. King and celebrate unity through the lens of art and culture. “Dr. King’s fight for the dignity and rights of people everywhere has continued to inspire us to work toward achieving an equitable and just world,” said Kimberley Bush Tomio, Berkshire Museum’s Executive Director. The Academy Award-winning film “Selma” will be screened from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Senator Mark announces January staff office hours in Berkshire County
Berkshire— State Senator Paul W. Mark announced that his staff will host office hours at five locations in Berkshire County in January. Residents of any of the 57 municipalities in the Senator’s Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin, and Hampshire District are encouraged to share ideas on current or potential state legislation or to ask for assistance with issues involving any state agency. Appointments are not required. The hours and locations are as follows:

Adams: Tuesday, January 2, and Tuesday, January 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. Town Hall, 8 Park Street in Adams.
Dalton: Monday, January 8, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.. Senior Center, 40 Field Street in Dalton.
