Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center presents Grammy-nominated duo Black Violin

Great Barrington– On Friday, February 27th at 8 p.m., the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center presents Grammy-nominated duo Black Violin. 

Step into Black Violin’s “Full Circle Tour,” where Grammy-nominated duo Wil Baptiste and Kev Marcus redefine the possibilities of music by merging classical depth with hip-hop’s pulse. This tour captures the essence of returning to where it all began—transformed and reimagined. Each powerful performance invites audiences to reflect on their own journeys, discovering that even as we evolve, we’re often drawn back to our roots with renewed purpose. Join them for an unforgettable night that celebrates growth, music, and the beauty of coming full circle.

American Mural Project’s Happy Hour Piano Series continues with dynamic pianist Garnell Curtis

Winsted, Conn.– On Friday, February 27th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., American Mural Project’s Happy Hour Piano Series continues with dynamic pianist Garnell Curtis.

Garnell Curtis is a UConn student and dynamic pianist known for his improvisational flair and ability to defy categorization. He’s no stranger to pop, soul, jazz, and classical, and you may hear a bit of all of it in a single song. Garnell’s fresh approach creates a sense of spontaneity and exploration. Prepare to experience piano in a way that breaks traditional boundaries. Eases into the weekend with live piano music and libations in Connecticut’s most unique art space.

Crandell Theatre presents generative documentary ‘Eno’ about visionary musician and artist Brian Eno 

Chatham, N.Y.– On Saturday, February 28th at 7 p.m., Crandell Theatre presents the generative documentary “Eno” about visionary musician and artist Brian Eno. 

Gary Hustwit’s generative documentary about pioneering musician and artist Brian Eno is unique each time it’s shown. Hustwit keeps his camera trained exclusively on Eno himself, as the creator of ambient music recounts a career that’s seen him collaborate, as a legendary producer, with artists ranging from David Bowie and Roxy Music to U2, Talking Heads, Grace Jones, and Laurie Anderson.

The screening is on Saturday, February 28th at 7 p.m. at the Crandell Theatre, located at 48 Main Street in Chatham, N.Y. There will be a post-screening discussion led by Emmy-nominated editor Maya Tippett. Tickets and more information can be found online.

The Foundry presents ‘Aunties of Comedy,’ a women-led stand-up comedy show curated by Eryca Nolan

West Stockbridge– On Saturday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m., The Foundry presents “Aunties of Comedy,” a women-led stand-up comedy show curated by Eryca Nolan. The show, featuring Jennifer McMullen with special guest Daryl Rosemond, spotlights comedians serving wisdom, lived experience, and unapologetic grown-folk humor—because funny hits different when you’ve lived a little. 

Host, Eryca Nolan is a comedian and producer who believes laughter is both medicine and a family affair. As the creator and producer of “Aunties of Comedy,” she brings together bold voices, real stories, and grown-folks humor that feels like home. She has performed at the Albany Funny Bone, Hartford Funny Bone, and on stages throughout the region, blending sharp observation, honesty, and heart. Behind the scenes and on the mic, she curates shows that feel less like a performance and more like a reunion—where everybody’s welcome and the laughs are real.

Dewey Hall launches new Jazz Residency with a Wanda Houston Mardi Gras dance party

Sheffield– On Thursday, February 26th at 7 p.m., Dewey Hall launches their new Jazz Residency with a Wanda Houston & the Rejuvenators Mardi Gras dance party. 

Born out of the popular Dewey Hall Jazz Jam series, the Jazz Residency will feature six performances and dance parties curated and organized by a single resident artist throughout the year. The 2026 Inaugural Resident Artist is Wanda Houston.

A powerhouse vocalist with a devoted regional following, Wanda Houston brings both artistry and leadership to the residency. Known for her dynamic cross-genre work spanning jazz, funk, blues, soul, and beyond, she regularly collaborates with a wide array of musicians throughout the Northeast. Well-connected within the regional music scene and highly respected as a bandleader and artistic director, Houston will shape the residency into a vibrant, collaborative space that reflects the diversity and vitality of Berkshire County’s music community.

The dance party is on Thursday, February 26th at 7 p.m. at Dewey Hall, located at 91 Main Street in Sheffield. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. Tickets and more information can be found online.

Spencertown Academy presents Heavenly Echoes Gospel Band

Spencertown, N.Y.– On Saturday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m., Spencertown Academy, in collaboration with Capital Region Blues Network (CRBN), presents Heavenly Echoes Gospel Band. 

The Heavenly Echoes Gospel Band was founded by the late Deacon James Edmonds in 1965 in Albany, N.Y. With roots in the Stax/Volt style of Southern Soul, they perform both classic and contemporary gospel music—a mix of originals, well-known traditional spirituals and hymns, covers of songs that crossed over into pop music, and contemporary quartet-style songs that are gospel standards in the church community.

“The Heavenly Echoes Gospel Band has a venerable history of performing at churches, community events, fundraisers, and causes for social justice throughout the Capital Region,” said Richard Green, president of CRBN. “We’re delighted to bring them to Spencertown and look forward to a joyful and uplifting concert.”
