Morning becomes the Berkshires

To the north, and in the south, the Berkshires of Massachusetts are aglow with autumn color.

At opposite ends of Berkshire County, the rising sun glorified the rapturous colors of a New England autumn.

At dawn in the north, William Bliel of Cheshire caught the photo above of first light bathing the heights Mt. Greylock, while on West Plain Road in Great Barrington to the south, Jonathan Hankin was entranced by a luminous maple, glowing above Morven Allen’s newly mown field.

“Thanks to Morven Allen and to the gods for this morning’s stroke of sunshine and a glorious maple,” Hankin wrote.

Amen.
