The Great Barrington Libraries are excited to introduce a new database for our patrons: the Naxos Music Library. With over 3 million tracks on over 200 thousand albums, Naxos is the largest collection of classical music available anywhere. Many of those recordings are not available on other streaming platforms at all.

In conjunction with the addition of this new database, we will be holding a program to provide a tutorial on how to take advantage of this wealth of music. Alongside the tutorial, we’ll listen to some music! The playlist will be curated by Jamie, the Head of Programming, and a trained classical musician herself. These Classical Music Listening Parties will continue to be held on every first Friday of the month with new playlists and new discussion topics for listeners to enjoy.
