Carol Berliner Ingher, 74, of Monterey, former secretary of Great Barrington Kennel Club

She had a passion for dogs, especially Golden Retrievers. She was involved in breeding, showing, training and competing with them in conformation, obedience, rally and field.

Carol Berliner Ingher, 74, of Rockwell Road in Monterey, MA passed away on May 21, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.

Born on August 27, 1940 in Mount Vernon, New York, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Betty “Tessie” Zaretsky Berliner. She was a graduate of Walton High School and Hunter College in New York.

Carol taught first grade for several years and then worked in Suffolk County government.

She had a passion for dogs, especially Golden Retrievers. She was involved in breeding, showing, training and competing with them in conformation, obedience, rally and field. She was a former Secretary of the Great Barrington Kennel Club and on their Board of Directors. She was a former Board member of the Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club. She was also active in several other dog clubs and volunteered with them.

When not with her dogs, Carol enjoyed reading, vegetable gardening, especially the community garden, and swimming in the local lake from the time the water warmed up until October when she could no longer stand it.

She is survived by her daughter Stacy Ingher of Valatie, N.Y.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 12:30 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Barbara Cohen, Spiritual Leader Congregation Ahavath Sholom. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington.

Stephen Joseph Tynan, 67, of Great Barrington

A graveside service for Stephen Joseph Tynan will be held on Thursday, March 19, at 10 a.m. in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, with Reverend William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Family will receive friends at a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home.

Candace Gerard, 80, formerly of Great Barrington

Funeral services for Candace Gerard will be held on Friday March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Thomas B. Finn Jr., 75, of Pembroke, Mass.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 28 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
