Aurora M. Pshenishny, 94, of Sheffield

Aurora was a machine operator for B-D until her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church and a former member of the Sheffield Grange.

Aurora M. Pshenishny of Sheffield, Massachuesetts, died peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in East Canaan, Connecticut on May 30, 1927, to John C. and Caterina Minella Zucco, the youngest of eight children. She attended local schools in East Canaan.

Aurora was a machine operator for B-D until her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church and a former member of the Sheffield Grange. Aurora enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, card games, square dancing, cooking, baking, canning, and games of chance, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She was also an avid Red Sox and Celtics Fan.

Aurora leaves her husband of 70 years, Peter, whom she married on September 16, 1950, in Canaan; her sons Nick (Laurie) of Pittsfield and Gary of Dracut; daughter Linda Pshenishny (John Jasman) of Sheffield; daughter-in-law Lauri Pshenishny of Florida; granddaughter Erin McCambridge (John); grandsons Bryan (Aubrey), Zack (Stephanie), and Kyle; and great-grandchildren Luka and Lillian Pshenishny. Besides her parents, Aurora was predeceased by her son David, brothers James and Tony Zucco, and sisters Mary Riva, Ida Fungo, Jennie Zoffoli, Julia Zucco, and Lena Bartow.

Funeral services for Aurora M. Pshenishny, will be held on Friday, Aug. 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield, with the Reverend Peter Naranjo officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends at a calling hour Friday, Aug. 20 from 10-11 a.m. at the Birches–Roy Funeral Home, 33 South Street, Great Barrington. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations in Aurora’s memory may be made to either Our Lady of the Valley Building Fund, SBVAS or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, all in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be made through Birches–Roy Funeral Services.

Stephen Joseph Tynan, 67, of Great Barrington

A graveside service for Stephen Joseph Tynan will be held on Thursday, March 19, at 10 a.m. in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, with Reverend William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Family will receive friends at a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Candace Gerard will be held on Friday March 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Thomas B. Finn Jr., 75, of Pembroke, Mass.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 28 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
