Scott ‘Mike’ Maslanka, 49, of Pittsfield

Mike was employed as a glazer for Martino Glass Company in Pittsfield for several years and later worked for other local companies.

Scott M. “Mike” Maslanka, 49, of Bradford Street died Tuesday afternoon at Springside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield.

Born in Pittsfield Sept. 27, 1967, the son of Sally M. Klimek Maslanka and the late Francis M. Maslanka, he attended Lenox schools and was a 1985 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School. Mike was employed as a glazer for Martino Glass Company in Pittsfield for several years and later worked for other local companies. He had been a member of the Polish Community Club.

Besides his mother of Pittsfield, he is survived by his two sons: Michael W. Maslanka-Schmidt and Timothy M. Maslanka Schmidt, both of Pittsfield; three sisters: Suzanne M. Maslanka of Pittsfield, Kathleen M Gelinas and husband James E. “Chico” Gelinas of Lanesborough, and Jacqueline M. Maslanka of Pittsfield; his nephews Codey and Austin Lombardi; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral of Mr. Scott Michael Maslanka of Pittsfield will be conducted Friday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox by the Rev. Quenton Chin. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A calling hour the morning of the funeral will be from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to the Lenox Fire Company in care of Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240. To share memories and stories, visit rochefuneralhome.com.

Thomas B. Finn Jr., 75, of Pembroke, Mass.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on March 28 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
