Winona Harding, 93, of Great Barrington

Winona drove a school bus for the Massini Bus Company for 30 years.

Winona Bennett Harding, 93, passed away Sept. 20, 2018, at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington.

She was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Boston. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington where she had been in the choir since she was a teenager. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Winona drove a school bus for the Massini Bus Company for 30 years.

She is survived by her three sons David and wife Anita of Littleton, Gerould and partner Linda of Dalton, and Stephen and wife Lani of Stockbridge, as well as her two daughters Winona and husband Jeffrey Carpenter of New Marlborough, and Carol and husband Joseph Hanselman Jr. of Hillsdale, New York. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Winona was predeceased by her husband Clarke Harding.

A memorial service for Winona B. Harding will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Purradise in care of FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA. 01230, which is handling arrangements. A funeral service for Brian “B.O.” Ovitt will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, with Pastor Regina King officiating. Family and friends are also invited to calling hours on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
