William D. Holliday, 78, of Great Barrington

William D. Holliday, 78, of Great Barrington, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. William was born in Wichita Kansas on November 15, 1947, the son of Raymond and Lucille (Anderson) Holliday.

After graduating from high school, William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He worked for many years as a computer tech manager for Hewlett Packard. William was a member of the Great Barrington Fish and Game and the Adams Budz VFW Post #8183.

William is survived by his wife Carole (Mullaney) Holliday of Great Barrington, whom he married on December 13, 1973; two nieces, Lisa Gillette of Bristol, Conn., and Kimberly Mullaney of Quincy, Mass.; one brother, Robert Holliday of Wichita, Kan.; and two sisters, Katherine Potenski of Clearwater, Kan., and Judy Kane of San Francisco, Calif.

In keeping with William’s wishes, all services were private. Burial was held with Military Honors. Services are entrusted to Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Condolences may be made through the funeral home’s website.

Alfred F. ‘Fred’ Lafave Jr., 87, formerly of Lenox

A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Lenox on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
