Where is our congressman?

Jeromie Whalen of South Hadley has been in the Berkshires more in the last couple of months than Neal has been in the last couple of years.

To the editor:

Now that the 2025 election is in the books, I am looking forward to 2026 with one question in my mind. The current occupant of the White House is attacking the rule of law and ignoring our Constitution and the will of the American people… and I have one question in my mind. Federal agents are scooping people off the streets, terrorizing our neighbors, taking food and heating assistance from the needy, and I have one question nagging at me.

Where is our congressman? Where is Richie Neal? Is he in St. Croix? At a Yankees game, taking friends out to dinner? Hob nodding with his corporate contributors? I don’t know. He is like the absentee landlord that won’t fix the plumbing or repair the screen door. He is our representative. But where is he? I think he is AWOL, and it is time he retired. Fortunately, there is an articulate, energetic replacement newly on the scene. Jeromie Whalen of South Hadley has been in the Berkshires more in the last couple of months than Neal has been in the last couple of years. Whalen understands our situation and is in the game. Neal seems to have nothing to say. Check out Whalenforcongressma.com. Whalen is a voice for our future. Neal is… crickets.
