West Stockbridge resident sentenced for sexual exploitation of a child, travel with intent to engage in unlawful sexual activity

In January 2024, the Berkshire Detective Unit of the State Police launched an investigation against West Stockbridge residents Frank Twing and Haley Twing.

West Stockbridge and Albany, N.Y. — On Tuesday, March 18, Frank Twing Sr., 33, was sentenced in Albany, N.Y. Federal Court to 25 years in federal prison for Berkshire County related crimes.

According to Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, Twing, a West Stockbridge resident, previously pled guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child involving a then 15-year-old victim and one count of travel with intent to engage in unlawful sexual conduct involving an approximately 12-year-old victim.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice’s website, Twing admitted that he engaged in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old child during which he created sexually explicit videos depicting that child.

He also admitted to traveling from his home in Massachusetts to New York, planning to have sex with an approximately 12-year-old child.

In January 2024, the Berkshire Detective Unit of the State Police launched an investigation against Twing and Haley Twing.

Both were arrested by the State Police as a result of the investigation.

Frank Twing was charged with two counts of aggravated statutory rape, two counts of posing a child for sexual photos, and one count of trafficking a person for sexual servitude.

Haley Twing was charged with with four counts of posing a child for sexual photos, two counts of statutory rape, and one count of possession of child pornography.
