Wendy Beth Pennington, 53, of Sandisfield

Wendy enjoyed horseback riding, walking, gardening, rescuing Great Danes and most of all spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod.

Wendy Beth Pennington, 53, of Sandisfield, passed away on September 3, 2015 at her home in Sandisfield.

Wendy was born in Great Barrington, Mass., to Roy Hallock and Jane Adams Hallock on September 22, 1961. Wendy attended Lee High School and graduated in 1979.

She was a full-time mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Sheffield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Wendy enjoyed horseback riding, walking, gardening, rescuing Great Danes and most of all spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod. Wendy received Pioneer status with her congregation and was most proud of this accomplishment.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Tom Pennington, and her four children, Jennifer Field of Otis, John W. Field Jr. of Sandisfield and his wife Tara Birkett-Field, Will Pennington of Pittsfield and his wife Lindsay Pennington, and Sarah Pennington of Pittsfield. She also leaves five grandchildren, John Field III, Kasandra Brevoort, Ariana Bauer, Desiree’ Field and Mitchell Monterosso. Wendy is also survived by her brother and sisters: Lee Roy Hallock of Otis, Carol Somes and her husband Marshall of Otis, Jane Kimberly and her husband Bobby of Otis, Lynn Lennon and her husband Tom of Dalton and four half brothers and sisters: Beverly, Barbara and Joan all of Connecticut, and half brother Ross Hallock of North Carolina.

Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Roy Hallock  and Jane Adams Hallock, and half brother Sherman Hallock.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.

Judith Lee ‘Judy’ Corbett, 80, of Great Barrington

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home. A Liturgy of Christian Mass will be delivered on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m., at St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington, the Rev. William Murphy officiating.

Thomas P. Atwood, 86, of Great Barrington

A Funeral Mass for Thomas P. Atwood will be held on Monday, January 27, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery.

Maureen Jane Johnson Hickey, 86, of Great Barrington and Naples, Fla.

There will be a private burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Great Barrington, with a memorial service in the spring.
