Vote yes to statue, stairs, and seating!

If you want the library stairs repaired, practical seating in the form of an elegant marble bench, and a handsome bronze sculpture added to the front of the library at no expense to the taxpayer, then vote YES on this “redesign.”

To the editor:

The question of whether the W.E.B. Du Bois Sculpture Project, which includes the creation of a bronze seated Du Bois on a curved marble bench and repair of the marble stairs, constitutes a “redesign” of the front of the library seems to be a matter of opinion. In my opinion, this project represents an improvement to the library and the entire downtown Great Barrington area.

If you want the library stairs repaired, practical seating in the form of an elegant marble bench, and a handsome bronze sculpture added to the front of the library at no expense to the taxpayer, then vote YES on this “redesign.”
