Vote for Lisa Sauer for Stockbridge Select Board

The difference between the two candidates was apparent at recent Select Board meetings where Lisa has been one of the first to go to the microphone and voice her opinions.

To the editor:

The Stockbridge Democratic Caucus voted to endorse Lisa Sauer as the Democratic Caucus nominee for Select Board. Stockbridge residents have once again shown that they want their voices heard and want Select Board members who are responsive to their concerns. A major concern of residents is that they do not want large developments in residential areas, whether it is the DeSisto hotel/resort, Interlaken Cross Road, or Glendale Middle Road. Stockbridge residents want to keep residential neighborhoods residential.

The difference between the two candidates was apparent at recent Select Board meetings where Lisa has been one of the first to go to the microphone and voice her opinions. Select Board Chair Jamie Minacci seems more interested in watching the timer and listening to the advice of the Finance Committee and the concerns of developers rather than her constituents.

In Lisa Sauer’s own words:

I feel pressure to grow is threatening the essence of what makes Stockbridge, well, Stockbridge. I also feel that if one has opinions on how their town is run, they should be involved. This approach in mind, voters should know that if elected, I will tend to favor conservation, preservation and slow, smart growth. I believe this is the avenue to help preserve Stockbridge in the interest of our long-time, full-time residents and allow young working families to make Stockbridge their home.

Vote for Lisa Sauer for Select Board for a representative who will work hard for Stockbridge and be responsive to her constituents! Let’s keep Stockbridge the quintessential small New England town.

Those who cross our borders unlawfully do so fully aware of the risk of deportation

President Trump’s resounding 2024 election victory reflects a clear mandate from the American people to uphold immigration laws.

Why has President Donald Trump not called Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to express his sympathies?

This man’s silence speaks for itself, just as it did after the violence and his silence thereafter on January 6, 2021, and subsequent pardons of the January 6 perpetrators.

A reflection on No Kings Day

I don't know what kind of drugs the Trump administration and Fox News thinks Americans are on, but their response to No Kings Day defies belief—even by MAGA standards.
