Vivian Vesta Stalker, 73, of Ashley Falls

Vivian’s warm and caring nature served her well over the years during her career as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at local nursing homes.

Ashley Falls — Mrs. Vivian Vesta Stalker, 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend died early Wednesday morning September 28, 2022 at her home in Ashley Falls following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 31, 1949 in Northampton, she was the daughter of Horace and Barbara (Porter) Robbins. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Mount Everett Regional High School.

She married the love of her life Harold Stalker Sr. on September 2, 1967 in Great Barrington.

Vivian’s warm and caring nature served her well over the years during her career as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at local nursing homes. She also spent time working as a bookkeeper at Great Barrington Health Care until retiring in 2020.

She was a member of the 4-H Club and the Sheffield Grange.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Stalker Sr., and their children William Stalker (Andrea) of Lee, and Harold Stalker Jr. (Donna) of New Marlborough, and her grandson Ethan Stalker. She also leaves her brothers, Horace Robbins Jr. of Maryland, Wayne Robbins of South Carolina, and John Daniels of New Hampshire.

She was predeceased by two children John Henry and Corrine Stalker as well as by her sister Marion Consaul.

SERVICE – The funeral service for Vivian V. Stalker will be held on Monday, October 3 at 11 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, Mass., conducted by Rev. Jill Graham. Burial will follow at Ashley Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 3 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
