Virtual candidates’ forum to be held May 4

A forum featuring the three candidates running for two open Great Barrington Select Board seats will be held, via Zoom, on Tuesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m.

GREAT BARRINGTON — A virtual forum featuring the three candidates running for two open Great Barrington Select Board seats will be held Tuesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Eric Gabriel, Garfield Reed, and incumbent Kate Burke will be introduced by forum moderator Ken Knox, a professor at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and a West Stockbridge resident. Incumbent Bill Cooke is not seeking re-election. CTSB will tape the forum and air it before the election.

Great Barrington’s town elections will be held Tuesday, May 11. Polls at the State Road fire station and the Housatonic Community Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day.

The Democratic and Republican town committees and THE NEWSletter are sponsors of the forum.
