Virginia L. Farnum, 95, of South Egremont

Virginia was loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. In honor of her last wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private ceremony will be held with her immediate family.

Virginia L. Farnum, 95, of South Egremont passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was at home surrounded by her loving family.

Virginia was born in Alford on November 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Zucci Morandi. Virginia graduated from Searles High School in 1946. She worked as a tester at Carr Engineering where she was fortunate enough to meet the love of her life, Kenneth Farnum. The two were married on December 11, 1948 and began their beautiful life together. She loved most and enjoyed spending time with her large family. She also had a great love for gardening, dancing, God, and her country.

Virginia leaves behind her three daughters, Deborah Clay (Ted), Sheila Farnum, and Jean Briggs (Tony), and her three sons, Edward Farnum, Gary Farnum, and Jeffrey Farnum. She also leaves her nine grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Helen Duryea; and her granddaughter, Natalie Farnum.

Virginia was loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. In honor of her last wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private ceremony will be held with her immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the South Egremont Fire Department.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. "Bob" Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
