Two police officers and one person shot in Hinsdale

The officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the civilian who was shot is in critical condition.

Hinsdale — According to Berkshire District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, two police officers and one civilian were shot in an incident at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7.

Sabourin writes in an email that the officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the civilian who was shot is in critical condition. She writes that there is no threat to public safety, and an investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit, assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.

No further details have been released, including the identities of the individuals shot or where the incident took place. The Berkshire Edge will update this story as more details are released.
