Tony Bleau Sr., 60, of Great Barrington, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tony was born in Hudson, N.Y., on November 20, 1963, the son of Ronald Sr. and Ofilia (Torres) Bleau. In his youth, he attended local schools and played sports.

Tony worked for 38 years at Butternut Ski Area, eventually working his way up to the mountain manager position. He enjoyed being in the wind on his Harley, feeding the birds, going to the races with friends, and cooking a great meal, as well as considering himself a hot sauce “connoisseur.” Nothing made him happier than being with his family and being a loving and attentive father.

Tony is survived by his son Tony “TJ” Jr.; his daughter Tasha (Darran); and four brothers, Ronald Jr. (Chris), Daniel (Martha), Don, and Robert (Greg); and his sister Rebecca, whom he always kept in a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends whom he considered family. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his loving son Mathew Bleau.

A graveside service for Tony Bleau Sr. will be held on Thursday, October 3, at 11:30 a.m., in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery in Housatonic, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, from 9 to 11 a.m.m, at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
