GREAT BARRINGTON — Last night, May 4, several candidates for office in Great Barrington participated via Zoom in a forum to discuss issues related to their campaigns.
The only contested race for the May 11 elections is for selectboard. Three candidates are running for two available seats: Garfield Reed, Eric Gabriel, and incumbent Kate Burke, who is running for reelection to a second term. The moderator was West Stockbridge resident Kenneth Knox, a professor at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and former member of the Southern Berkshire Regional School Committee. The event was sponsored by Eileen Mooney’s NEWSletter and the Democratic and Republican town committees.
