Great Barrington Town Hall has been the centerpiece for many celebrations over the decades. The photograph shown above was taken in 1894. It was likely a Decoration Day (now called Memorial Day) ceremony or a Fourth of July celebration. Photographs that follow below feature Civil War veterans and officials at the Winged Victory statue, Great Barrington’s 150th anniversary celebration in 1911, and this year’s Memorial Day ceremony.
