Great Barrington — The above photograph captures downtown Great Barrington during the 1890s. It was taken on the east side of Main Street looking north. Photographer Julius Hall was standing in front of Whitings Drug Store, approximately where Calyx Berkshire Cannabis Dispensary is presently located. The scene has been recreated below, 125 years later, with a woman cyclist on the left and a bearded gentleman at right.
