Happy New Year! Start off 2017 on the right foot with some wisdom to guide your year from The Edge’s very own soothsayer, Heebie GB.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
These days it seems that everywhere you look, there’s another solar panel field being installed. Well, guess what? This year you’re going to be just as popular as solar panels. So get ready to soak up the attention and remember to save energy for all those parties because your social life is about to get fully charged!
Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
The end is coming this year. Or maybe it’s just the beginning of something new. Hold on tight and ride it out because, like The Book Loft, you’re going to find yourself ending one chapter and beginning a new one. And the best part is, the transition will be smoother than ever!
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
It’s been a while since you started reimagining yourself and your purpose here. Like many a church in Great Barrington, you’ve been hard at work getting yourself ready to begin life anew and this year you’ll be ready to make your debut and welcome people into your new life. Congrats!
Aries (March 21-April 19)
On January 15th Jupiter will be in retrograde, making it a perfect time for you to take a good hard look at yourself. This is the year to act more like the lamb you once were and less like the angry ram you’ve become. Don’t be like the curbs in Great Barrington, refusing to mellow with age and striking out at anyone who gets too close. Smooth out your sharp edges or people will stay far away.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Well, look at you! You’ve gone from always being caught empty-handed at the store to being the person who diligently remembers to bring your reusable bags. Who says an old bull can’t learn new tricks? And with the progressive Aquarius Moon soon to rise, you are in the perfect mindset to learn plenty more tricks this year.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Enough is enough. Your career is slipping away faster than Lake Mansfield Road and, as usual, you just can’t decide which way to go. Ask for input from some trustworthy co-workers about the best way to proceed. It’s time for a serious upgrade and with Mars entering your 12th House, there’s no better time to make a plan.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Enjoying the spotlight, Cancer? Well, you better hold on tight during this last act because it’s going to be a tough one. Like those oversized traffic posts on Main Street, you are going to be talked about a lot—and not in a good way. Grin and bear it until Jupiter passes in mid-June. Nobody complains about those posts anymore and soon nobody will be focusing on you, either.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
As Venus approaches, you may catch some sparks from a new love interest. But before you can return those flirty signals, you’ll have to do some serious house cleaning. Like an old dry cleaning business, you have some serious toxins to deal with before you can get a fresh start on romance.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
It’s no surprise that Pluto’s descent is pushing you to make a break for it. Time to take a cue from Kmart and get the heck out of town — at least for a little while. A road trip out West might be the Blue Light Special you need to jump on. Don’t be surprised by who is most eager to join you on your adventure.
Libra (September 23-October 22)
Ever feel like one of those new trees on Main Street? Always being told you’re not good enough, that you don’t belong, that you’re an imposter? It’s time to shed your outsider mentality and start putting down roots. You’re here for the long-haul, Libra, so stand tall and proud while you show the world you’re growing strong.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
You speed up Taconic. You speed through town. Let’s face it, Scorpio: You speed through life. Time to slow down and appreciate what’s around you before you miss it all. In fact, you might want to follow Mercury’s lead later this month and start taking a longer path than usual. Better yet, take a new path and see where it brings you.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Jupiter is in transition, and so are you! This year you’ll experience more changes than Main Street in Great Barrington. Try to embrace everything new coming your way. Remind yourself that change is growth and growth is good. And while some things will be gone forever, you might be pleasantly surprised to find that others are just moving around a bit.
