Tax revenue for proposed Berkshire Hotel is a valid estimate

In his comment, Dave Carpenter, director of administration for Mahida Family Hospitality Interests, writes; "We have provided to the town supporting details of tax revenues in order to validate the numbers."

To the Editor:

If the truth matters, know that the Town of Great Barrington asked to validate the tax numbers [the Berkshire Hotel would provide the town] long before the issue was raised by Sharon Gregory. We have provided to them supporting details and Ms. Gregory knows that.

Please also know that I publicly and privately offered to sit with Ms. Gregory and review the numbers but she has chosen not to be informed, presumably because it doesn’t serve her agenda.

As Director of Administration for the Mahida Family Hospitality Interests, all this tax talk will be addressed at the upcoming  Selectboard meeting, which I hope those interested in our project will attend.

As Mr. Perloe says in his letter to The Edge, the SSA statement was misleading. In my opinion, some sections were flat wrong.
