Take action by supporting the Rural Freedom Network

RFN is a political action committee. We create, design, produce, and deliver postcards free of charge to distributors who have teams of writers.

To the editor:

The Rural Freedom Network (RFN) is working very long hours this time of year to do everything we can to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, Democratic senators, and our congressional candidates throughout rural America.

RFN is a political action committee. We create, design, produce, and deliver postcards free of charge to distributors who have teams of writers. We have already sent out over a half million postcards in key districts from California to upstate New York, with an emphasis on Pennsylvania. We have also created hard-hitting videos for streaming and social media. We write letters to the editor, design billboards, and much more. And our team is a very experienced all-Berkshire team.

If you believe in our democracy, honesty, integrity, and respect for others, the rule of law, battling climate change; women’s freedom to decide what’s best for her own body without governmental interference; the freedom to teach, read, and learn without government control; and the utmost respect for our veterans, then we really need you.

Please help NOW. Please get involved. This is crunch time. We really could use your financial support and your postcard-writing abilities:

Or simply send a donation check in any amount payable to RFN to Sherwood Guernsey, 57 Wendell Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

To write postcards, email one of the following in your area:

  • Central Berkshires: Peggy Schjeldahl pegdance3@gmail.com
  • South County: Michael Wise Michaelwise@earthlink.net
  • North County: Jim Mahon jmahon195@gmail.com

If we all do something, we will win.

We are so grateful for your support.

Why has President Donald Trump not called Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to express his sympathies?

This man’s silence speaks for itself, just as it did after the violence and his silence thereafter on January 6, 2021, and subsequent pardons of the January 6 perpetrators.

A reflection on No Kings Day

I don't know what kind of drugs the Trump administration and Fox News thinks Americans are on, but their response to No Kings Day defies belief—even by MAGA standards.

West Stockbridge Zucchini Festival seeking funds and volunteers

We have been kinda busy getting the festival together, but if it needs to be said: The 2025 West Stockbridge Zucchini Festival has been and still is unequivocally on for Saturday, August 9, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., rain or shine!
