Ann joined the Cadet Nurse Corps as a student and then, after graduation, became an RN. She also earned a master's degree in Human Services from Russell Sage College.
Mrs. Cook was employed as a traffic manager at ED Jones in Pittsfield for 45 years until her retirement in 2005. She then went to work part-time as an administrative assistant at the town offices in Stockbridge.
Marshall was a life member and former president of the Stockbridge Sportsman’s Club. As a longtime resident of West Stockbridge he served his community as a lieutenant in the West Stockbridge Fire Department, a Special Police Officer, a Forest Warden and Animal Inspector.
