She served as a teacher, a counselor and curriculum organizer in the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center and a program within the learning center became her focus: adult learning disability.

Marion Consaul, 73, of Sheffield

Marion enjoyed several years of operating Consaul Tours with her late husband, Robert.  She loved meeting new people on her numerous trips to casinos, beaches and ballgames.

Michael Bufis, 71, of Pittsfield, award-winning photographer

Michael’s most recent photographic honors include receiving honorable mention for "Mako Sica" at the juried exhibition "Art of the Hills" on display through Labor Day at the Berkshire Museum.

Sneak peak: The legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois at center stage

More than 35 singers and dancers rehearsed a performance piece choreographed to the song “We are Here” by Alicia Keys, the oft-repeated refrain of which is a fitting tribute to the nature of Du Bois’ work: “We are here. We are all here for all of us. That’s why we are here.”
