Last year, the event was held outside at Monument Mountain's track. However, four hours into the event, a microburst storm hit the track, destroying the event area. This year, event organizer Ray Gardino told The Berkshire Edge they are not taking any chances and will hold the event indoors.
I agree with Susan Winston that deer are a hazard to drivers and increasingly so as their numbers grow. But I disagree vehemently with her conclusion that the answer is to reduce their population by killing them.
In her letter Susan Winston writes: “We need to stand against all racism -- direct and physical as happened to George Floyd or implied and purely “nasty” as perpetrated by our president.”
