Run4Uns to honor late MMRHS teacher and coach

The first annual Run4Uns will celebrate the indelible mark Chris Unsworth left on the school community in the more than two decades he spent there as a teacher, coach and mentor to many.

Helen Maxwell, 79, retired teacher, formerly of Sheffield and Pittsfield

She worked as a teacher in the Pittsfield Public Schools at Stearns and Morningside elementary schools for over 40 years in grades K–4, retiring in 2004.

Bridget Brown, 58, of Lenox, owner of Berkshire Flower

For many years she owned and operated Berkshire Flower Co. on routes 7 and 20 in Pittsfield. A talented and gifted designer, she brought joy and comfort through her creations to so many over the years.

Christopher Kiejna Unsworth, 48, of Pittsfield, MMRHS coach and teacher

Chris never drew a line between teaching and coaching as he considered both to be opportunities to educate and support young students.

James Prince Sr., 81, of Lenox

He worked for many years as an assembly supervisor in sales for Lenox Machine Company.
