I will miss the Berkshires, particularly the home where we have lived for the past 13 years, the longest stretch that I have ever lived in one location.
Police arrested Kristopher H. Laine and took him to the Sheffield Police Department. They filed a criminal complaint charging Laine with motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
David West graduated from the Massachusetts Police Academy and proudly served on the Sheffield Police Department in the 1970s and early '80s. He was also a 28-year member of the Sheffield Fire Department and an EMT.

After identifying the serious need for the equipment, the association raised $21,000 to make the purchase [of the utility vehicle] at no cost to Great Barrington taxpayers.
