The family of Anthony E. Menard will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Charles VanAusdall.
Directed by Travis Daly with music direction by Erin M. White and choreography by Kathy Jo Grover, the production features more than 100 Berkshire-area students.
Speakers Leah Penniman and Ed Whitfield are doing work that builds on Du Bois’ legacy — his commitment to black economic development, cooperative structures and fair access to land.
Attendees of the Sweet Berkshire fundraiser will be able to bid on desserts donated by Dottie’s Coffee Lounge, Haven Cafe and Bakery, Wheatleigh, Canyon Ranch, Patisserie Lenox, Barrington Brewery, Taft Farms and other area food producers.
Bring one or two damaged but repairable items to be fixed for free by neighborhood volunteers: Clothing, cushions, bags, chairs, small tables and other wood items, lamps, vacuums and other electrical items, bicycles, and more.
