In his letter Ed Abrahams writes: "Rather than vote yes or no on Monday night, let's extend the deadline of the ban far enough out to solve some of the problems it will create."
In her letter to the editor, Carol Diehl writes: “I will be signing the petition to repeal the ban because I am convinced it is more symbolic than effective, puts an undue burden on local retailers, and was determined without sufficient education and deliberation.”
In his letter to the editor, Bill Arienti writes: “Our water is metered and it is not fair to give free water to any Tom, Dick or Harry who wants to come to town and fill their gallon jugs.”
More than 40 businesses and organizations had signed off on the plastic water bottle ban, including Guido's, Prairie Whale, SoCo and the Berkshire Co-op Market.
