For the fourth annual Berkshire Earth Expo, Living the Change Berkshires is taking a cue from the town of Concord and bringing the Cooler Communities challenge to Berkshire County.
In light of the efforts to connect the Berkshires to New York City via passenger train, the town of Great Barrington will present federal railroad safety expert Dick Towle Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Claire Teague Senior Center.
Along with Elizabeth Orenstein, Rosemary Wessel will lead an interactive conversation and demonstration of how to use invasive plant species and common weeds as food.
Hoffmann Bird Club President Jonathan Pierce will discuss notable local birds and highlight early-summer bird behavior, as well as opportunities to get out and see birds with the Hoffman Bird Club
Starring Kim Novak, James Stewart, Barbara Bel Geddes, Tom Helmore and Ellen Corby, “Vertigo” is considered one of Alfred Hitchcock’s greatest cinematic achievements.
At the interfaith celebration specially choreographed dances by the Olga Dunn Dance Company will be featured, along with a musical presentation by Peter Wilson of Clinton Church.
