After retiring from teaching, she volunteered for over 25 years at the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center where she helped adults earn their GEDs and taught English as a second language.
She served as a teacher, a counselor and curriculum organizer in the Pittsfield Adult Learning Center and a program within the learning center became her focus: adult learning disability.
An increase from last year’s gift, the combined support provides funding to ensure that all children will benefit from Berkshire South’s summer excursions regardless of their ability to pay for them.
