"I am overjoyed and kind of surprised with my accomplishment getting into All-State and feeling very honored," said Monument Mountain senior Audrey Allard. "I'm super excited to perform alongside so many talented singers across the state in March.”
The Orionid meteor shower, predicted to peak before dawn on Sunday the 21st, is active through November 7. At peak, in a dark location under a moonless sky, a maximum of 15 to 20 shooting stars per hour are predicted.
The Orionid meteor shower, its radiant appearing to be at the upper left of the constellation for which it is named, is forecast to be active from about the 19th through the 22nd, peaking before dawn on the 21st.
